The UK Hair Magazine Awards are among the most competitive in British hairdressing, judged by working hairdressers who test products over several weeks as part of their real care and styling routine. Insight — the Italian brand built around naturally-derived ingredients and sustainability — has been a repeat winner, and the recognition spans exactly the ranges salons are asking for: textured and curly hair, colour care, and sustainable formulas.
2023: a standout year
Insight's biggest haul came in 2023, with six category wins and fifteen finalist places. Several of those wins were for the Elasti-Curl textured-hair range, recognised across the Afro and curly-hair categories — including Best Afro Hair Mask for the Elasti-Curl Curly Hair Detangling Mask, and a Best Afro Natural Hair Range award for Elasti-Curl as a whole. UK ambassador Carolyn Newman also won Best Hair Look Change using the INCOLOR colour line.
2024: three wins and thirteen finalists
At the 2024 Hair Awards ("The Hot List"), where judges test each product over six weeks as part of their real care and styling regime, Insight took three category wins and reached the finals in thirteen. The wins were Best Shampoo & Conditioner for Hair Loss, Best Smoothing / Straightening Shampoo & Conditioner for its Anti-Frizz Hydrating range (which we stock), and Best Defining Styler for the Insight Elastic Moulding Wax.
2025: the wins keep coming
More recently, Insight took three further wins in 2025 (plus nine finalist places). The results included a Best Zero Plastic Shampoo & Conditioner award — a direct nod to the brand's sustainability work — along with recognition for its colour-care and anti-frizz lines.
