Color Touch is Wella's demi-permanent, ammonia-free colour. It's used for tone-on-tone colour, toning, glossing, refreshing faded colour and blending grey without lifting the natural base. Because it contains no ammonia and adds no lift, it's gentle on the hair and fades softly without a harsh regrowth line.

Color Touch is mixed with Color Touch Emulsion at a 1:2 ratio — one part colour to two parts emulsion. Use 1.9% (6 vol) emulsion for tone-on-tone results and toning, or 4% (13 vol) for slightly more coverage and lift. Develop for around 15 minutes, or longer for grey blending, following the professional Wella instructions.

Color Touch blends grey rather than fully covering it, making it ideal for softening grey on hair that isn't fully white. For more resistant hair or higher percentages of grey, Color Touch Plus is formulated for better coverage. For full grey coverage, a permanent colour such as Koleston Perfect is the better choice.
