What is Schwarzkopf BlondMe?
BlondMe is Schwarzkopf Professional's complete blonding range — built specifically for lightening, lifting, toning and caring for blonde hair. Rather than one product, it's a connected system: powder lighteners for off- and on-scalp work, lift-and-tone creams, a full wardrobe of toners, and dedicated bond-building care. Everything is designed to work together, so you can take a client from base to bespoke blonde and maintain it between appointments.
The Advanced Bonding System
Every BlondMe lightener, colour and care product carries integrated bonding technology, working across three steps:
- Step 1 — Colour (Bond Protection): the Bond Enforcing Technology contains highly effective Succinic Acid, which penetrates the hair during the oxidative process and forms a protective layer around the hair bonds, so most bonds survive lightening and the hair keeps its strength and elasticity.
- Step 2 — Care (Bond Creation): the in-salon care uses the 3D Bond Creation Technology, built around a tri-valent Lanthanum ion that connects inner hair bonds into a three-dimensional network, strengthening the fibre from within.
- Step 3 — Care (Bond Maintenance): the home-care range carries the same 3D Bond Creation Technology to maintain and strengthen bonds between salon visits and prolong the colour result.
The care regime is also pH balancing — returning the hair to its optimal pH tightens the inner matrix for stronger fibres. The key practical benefit across the system: no separate bond additive is needed, as it's already in the formula.
The BlondMe lighteners
- Premium Lightener 9+ — a dust-free powder for up to 9 levels of lift, suitable on all bases, on- and off-scalp, for full heads, foils and corrective work, with anti-yellow agents for advanced neutralisation. Mix at a flexible 1:1.5 to 1:2.5 with BlondMe Premium Developer.
- Premium Clay Lightener — a soft-to-solid, dust-reduced powder for freehand and balayage, up to 7 levels on bases 3–8, off-scalp only. Mix 1:1.5 to 1:2. Do not intermix with Premium Lightener 9+.
Apply lighteners to dry hair (don't shampoo first), develop for 20–45 minutes, avoid added heat, and check development visually. After processing and before rinsing, wet the mid-lengths and ends with around 100ml of warm water and emulsify from roots through the lengths for 2–3 minutes, then rinse until the water runs clear.
Premium Lightener 9+: developer and lift
| Developer | Volume | Levels of lift |
|---|---|---|
| 2% | 7 vol | Up to 3 |
| 6% | 20 vol | Up to 6 |
| 9% | 30 vol | Up to 9 (off-scalp only) |
BlondMe Blonde Lifting (lift and tone in one)
Blonde Lifting is a high-performing highlift cream that lifts and tones or neutralises in a single step — up to 5 levels of lift, for virgin hair only on base 6 or lighter with less than 30% white. Always apply to dry hair; suitable on-scalp; all shades are intermixable. Mix 1:1 with BlondMe Premium Developer — 12% (40 vol) for natural bases 6–7, 9% (30 vol) for base 8 and lighter. On a full head or virgin hair, apply to the mid-lengths and ends first (avoiding 2cm at the root), develop 10–15 minutes, then apply to the roots and develop a further 30–45 minutes.
Shades: L-Ice-Irisé (ultimate neutralising, for darker bases), L-Steel Blue (very strong neutralising), L-Ash (strong neutralising), L-Ice (anti-yellow), L-Clear (dilutes other lifting shades) and L-Sand (natural blonde with a soft beige tone).
BlondMe White Blending (for mature blondes)
White Blending lifts and blends white hair in one step — up to 4 levels of lift with up to 100% white blending, for virgin hair on base 6 or lighter with 30% white or more. Mix 1:1 with Premium Developer (12% for levels 6–7, 9% for level 8 and lighter), applied like Blonde Lifting. Shades: W-Ice (anti-yellow), W-Sand (true natural blonde), W-Caramel (soft warm caramel) and W-Irisé (soft rosé pastel).
BlondMe Hi-Lighting (works on coloured hair)
Hi-Lighting is the highlighting range that lifts and tones even on darker or previously coloured bases — up to 5 levels of lift, for natural base 4 and lighter or colour-treated hair base 6 or lighter, off-scalp only (not on light blonde or pre-lightened hair). Mix 1:1 with Premium Developer 12% (40 vol) and develop in foils for 45 minutes. Shades: H-Cool Rosé (cool, anti-yellow) and H-Warm Gold (warm gold).
BlondMe Bleach & Tone
Bleach & Tone is a lightener additive that gives a tone direction during the lightening process, used in combination with Premium Lightener 9+ for lightening and toning in one step (up to 8 levels of lift on bases 3–7). Add it to your lightener mixture using an Intense Mix (strong neutralisation, or intense cendré/pastel tones on light bases) or a Soft Mix (softer, natural tone directions on light bases). Shades: B-Cool Additive (neutralises orange-yellow and gold, even on dark hair) and B-Rosé Additive (neutralises warmth/pale yellow for a rosé pastel effect).
BlondMe toners
BlondMe Bond Enforcing Blonde Toning perfects pre-lightened hair without lifting. It's ammonia-free with a pH-neutral mix and integrated Bond Enforcing HydroLock Technology for moisture and minimised damage. Apply to clean, towel-dried hair; suitable on- and off-scalp; all shades are intermixable. There are two families:
- Pastel Toners (pre-lightened bases and natural base 9 or lighter): Ice-Irisé, T-Steel Blue, T-Ice, T-Sand, T-Biscuit, T-Brown Mahogany, T-Strawberry and T-Lilac.
- Deep Toners (pre-lightened darker bases and natural blonde bases 5–8): DT-Milk Chocolate, DT-Nougat, DT-Granite and DT-Deep Chestnut.
Match the shade to the base — the lighter, cooler tones suit base 8–10, while the Deep Toners cover bases 5–8. Use the CLEAR/dilution approach to soften intensity for more subtle results.
