How to Use Blond Studio 8T Purple Lightening Balm

A professional lightening balm that lifts up to 8 levels in a single step. Always mix with a Blond Studio developer and use the mixture immediately after preparation.

Mixing

• Ratio: 1:1.5 to 1:3 (lightener to developer), depending on technique and lift required.
• Weigh the lightener into the bowl first, then add the developer on top.
• Mix to a smooth, lump-free balm using non-metallic tools only.
• Prepare and apply in a well-ventilated area, use immediately, and discard any leftover mixture.

Developer & lift

• Pair with a Blond Studio Nutri-Developer or Oil Developer.
• 40 Vol (12%) is limited to a 1:1.5 ratio and off-scalp application only.
• Maximum development time: 50 minutes. Do not apply additional heat during development.

Application

• Do not shampoo immediately before the service; apply to dry, unwashed hair.
• Suitable for foil, freehand (open-air) and on-scalp techniques.
• For on-scalp work, do not apply twice in succession. When highlighting, keep the product off the scalp.
• Check the lift regularly and never leave the client unattended.

Rinsing & toning

• Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water once the desired lift is reached.
• Tone and nourish with an acidic gloss such as Dia Light — ideal for the French Balayage service.

Do not use on

• Very fine, fragile or sensitised hair.
• Hair that is relaxed, permanently straightened or recently permed.
• Hair coloured with a progressive or metallic colourant, or henna (except Botanéa).

Professional use & safety

• Carry out an allergy alert test 48 hours before every service.
• Wear suitable disposable gloves throughout application and rinsing.
• Not for use on anyone under 16. Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with lukewarm water and seek medical advice. If intense stinging, swelling or burning occurs, rinse for at least 20 minutes and discontinue use.
