Description
Majirel Cool Cover is a permanent colour built for cool, ashy results and proper grey coverage. If your client goes warm or brassy on the regrowth, or you just want a cleaner, cooler finish, this is the range that keeps the warmth in check while still covering up to 100% white hair.
It's part of the Majirel family, so it mixes and behaves the way you'd expect — but the Cool Cover pigments are weighted towards ash and metallic tones to neutralise unwanted gold and orange as it develops. You get rich, even colour from root to tip with reliable, true-to-tone results.
The formula's also had an update: it now works with the OTT (Odour Trapping Technology) oxydant for noticeably less ammonia smell during processing, mixes smoother, applies easier, and leaves the hair feeling softer afterwards.
Why you'll reach for it
- Cool, ashy results that neutralise warmth and brassiness
- Up to 100% white hair coverage with intense, even colour
- Works with the OTT oxydant for far less ammonia smell
- Long-lasting, true-to-tone colour across the shade range
- Smoother to mix and easier to apply
- Leaves hair feeling softer after colouring
- Salon-professional use
How to mix it
1 tube (60ml) to 90ml OTT oxydant — a 1:1.5 ratio.
Use 20 or 30 vol for up to 2–3 levels of lift, or 12.5 vol to refresh lengths and ends.
Covering white hair
- For a natural finish: use your target Cool Cover shade on its own.
- For consistent coverage on 50–100% white: mix ½ tube target shade + ½ tube Cool Cover fundamental (the whole-number shades like 5 or 6) with 90ml of 20 vol OTT oxydant.
Good to know: Cool Cover should only be mixed within its own range — don't blend it with standard Majirel or other lines, or you'll lose the cool result. Always follow current manufacturer guidance and do a skin allergy test and strand test before colouring.
